Let's Get Started!

When and how do I start training?

Pageant training typically begins ten to twelve weeks in advance of the pageant. You can even start training one or two years before the pageant! For your interview training, we recommend 3 to 6 sessions to truly develop the technique and effectively answer our sample personal, political, and current event questions. The first step is to schedule your initial consultation which provides an opportunity for a personal assessment of your strengths and weaknesses, areas of improvement, as well as a detailed discussion about the coaching process, and the client's personal goals and expectations. Thereafter, sessions are implemented in an order, to provide foundation basics first. Sessions are generally held in the evenings and on weekends and can be purchased as a package or paid as you go.

A typical training schedule is as follows:

Initial Consultation Meet and greet of client; discussion of previous pageant experience (if any), analysis and assessment of potential strengths and weaknesses, explanation of training technique and basics of competition including use of time, proof does not promise' and other key elements of competition. Distribution of Pageant training packet.
1-2 sessions Discussion of interview basics and foundation. Distribution and discussion of Pageant training packet. Basics on walking, turning, poise and appearance.
1-2 sessions Preparation, completion and review of contestant profile information and other contestant documentation; review of wardrobe selections.
2-6 sessions Distribution and discussion of personal interview questions; practice of poise and appearance. Development, review, and practice of personal introduction/platform information /talent presentation where applicable.
1-3 sessions Instruction and review on use of microphone; practice and review and on-stage speaking. Review of walking, poise and appearance, makeup application, additional wardrobe/jewelry selections, talent and/or personal introduction.

1-2 sessions

Discussion and review of current event/political/local questions. Final question session and onstage microphone practice. Review and discussion of competition preparation and backstage tips.

Pageant opportunities are truly once in a lifetime opportunities--especially when you are competing for the title of your dreams. You should spend at least as much time and thought on your interview as you do your appearance. Not only will you dramatically increase your chances of winning by making you shine in every element of competition, but the benefits of pageant training last far beyond a one-time pageant - the skills and tips you obtain through Rhodesia Butler training can and will be used again and again for the rest of your life in every single interview or pageant you enter. Make sure that your true skills and abilities shine through and you don't end up losing the crown because you didn't give it your absolute best effort in every aspect of competition.

When you think of how much your life could change because of winning a title and how very important it is, isn't it worth it? Think of how much more assured and confident you will be, knowing that you availed yourself of expert coaching, armed with all the tools necessary to win. You owe it to yourself to truly be prepared. The small cost of stellar preparation is nothing as compared to the opportunity to win the title of a lifetime!
